Providing effective training for club leaders and division and area directors is critical elements to creating a successful district. When club officers are well-trained to perform their duties, club members are better served. This makes the member experience more positive, which leads to a quality club experience and increased member retention. Without properly trained leaders at every level, districts and clubs cannot meet members’ needs or introduce the benefits of Toastmasters to others.

Districts must train club officers twice per year.

First Training: Between June 1 and August 31

Second Training: Between December 1 and February 28

Clubs with officers attending training receive credit toward the training goal in the Distinguished Club Program. In order for clubs to receive credit, the Division Director must record the training information online at District Central under the Club Officer Training Report.

District 21 offers one free four hour training session each training round which adds additional educational sessions and more in depth training. Makeup training is arranged by division directors as revenue neutral.
