Current and Future Toastmasters Trainers Wanted!
Are you interested in learning techniques to train adult learners? Want to gain or strengthen skills in training club officers? Do you simply want to understand how to transfer your speaking skills into the world of training? We’re looking for new trainers AND hoping to boost and support our existing Toastmasters trainers.
Join us on Sunday, December 10th for the Train the Trainer workshop!
Train-the-Trainer – for those who want to learn effective training techniques for adult learners. Normally a six hour course like this would cost $100+ at a post-secondary institution.
You will learn:
• The differences between speakers and trainers
• How to build rapport with your learners
• Adult learning styles
• Facilitation techniques
• Using visual aids
• Managing difficult behaviour
This workshop is hands-on and participative. You will have the chance to practice what you learn and receive valuable feedback and a ton of helpful training tips and techniques. Plus what you learn is fully transferable beyond Toastmasters. You will be better prepared to take your skills and effectively deliver any training anywhere.
When: Sunday, December 10, 2017
Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Where: University of Victoria, Clearihue Building, Room C108
Includes: coffee, lunch, your participants workbook, Train-the-Trainer handouts and a certificate of participation.
Location: Click here for a map of UVic. Note campus parking is FREE on Sundays.
